Miss Emily

Miss Emily is currently assisting classes as she undertakes her teaching qualifications. Emily has danced since she was 3 yrs old under the guidance of RWSOD, studying all styles and is now furthering her dance education and training with a particular focus on ballet.  Emily has consistently been an Honours student, performed and competed, winning awards, and has been a student teacher for many years and continues to mentor and be a role model and favourite to younger students. We are so excited about the rest of her dance journey and love having her assist in class and excited to see her commence her teaching career.

Miss Libby

Miss Libby Burrell has danced from a young age commencing full time ballet training at the age of 13. Libby trained overseas with various teachers from schools in New York, Canada, Japan and London. Libby continued her dance training at the highly regarded Tanya Pearson Academy in Sydney, and now loves to share and pass on the knowledge gained through many years of extensive full time training.

Miss Julie

Julie Lightfoot has been teaching for RWSOD almost since it’s commencement, and now balances her own business with still looking after our Adult Classes. Julie was raised in the dance world, with her mother being a dance teacher, and continues to share her love of dance with our RWSOD Ladies… specialising in Tap and Jazz, Jules never ceases to amaze us and entertain us by bringing out the absolute best in her team of adult dancers.

Miss Edie

Having found the desire to dance at a young age, Eden Cook studied with RWSOD and excelled both in exams and on stage and shone in performance. She continued to gain her teaching certificate under the mentorship of Rory Williamson and ADV, and is now a much respected Hip Hop, Contemporary, Ballet and Jazz teacher. Miss Edie brings a modern edge to our classes and competition teams and is a skilled and innovative choreographer. She knows where its at and she brings it!

Miss Rory – Principal

Founder and studio owner, Principal Rory Williamson is a teacher, assessor (examiner), syllabus co-author, and teacher trainer and mentor. Rory is trained in pre-professional advanced levels of classical ballet, jazz and contemporary, and performed at this level. She is highly regarded in the industry, and syllabus co-author and teacher trainer for Australian Dance Visions’ Jazz syllabus and contributed to it’s Classical Ballet syllabus. Trained by former Borovansky dancer and ADV director Penny Lancaster, she encourages educated dancers, safe dance practices and making dance available to both the recreational and aspiring professional dancer, and the importance of balancing strong technique with performance skills, and recognises that families need a studio that offers a way to balance their dancing with their day to day lifestyles.

Miss Adrienne

Dancing since the age of 3, Adrienne Sussman was trained by technical great Kerry Blair, and is now passing her expertise on to the next generation as a certified and highly qualified teacher herself. Having achieved highest marks in all her grades throughout her own tuition, Adrienne knows what it takes to prepare students from the youngest to highest levels. Delivering classical ballet, contemporary, jazz, lyrical and tap, Adrienne’s absolute love of dance and passion to pass that on to her students is evident, and she goes above and beyond for her students to make their dance experience the best possible.

Students of Rory Williamson School of Dance use their dance society syllabus technical examination results towards VET technical competencies (with gap training) contained within the CUA Certificates in Dance qualifications provided directly by Australian Dance institute RTO 91600
